Race team competing in the British Touring Car Championship
Multi award winning car dealership turned race team have had a two car race team within the prestigious British Touring Car Championship for the last 4 years.
For over 60 years the BTCC has been the premier motorsport series in the UK and Trade Price Cars Racing was set up a sports team in every sense of the phrase.
The race team has had a hugely successful stint within the Championship, with multiple podium finishes and then achieving the ultimate prize on offer in 2022 when Tom Ingram clinched the British Touring Car Championship in the Excelr8 Trade Price Cars with Bristol Street Motors Hyundai i30N.
Fortis entered the championship along with Trade Price Cars Racing in order to produce all the social media and video content for the entire year whether it be during the season or the off season.
The challenges we were facing were trying to make an impact in a sport that was already established and steeped in history, all while adhering to media guidelines set out by ITV Sport and juggling the needs and expectations of our drivers and sponsors.
In our first year we quickly made an impact with innovative video content that resonated with the faithful following of the BTCC and managed to produce engaging posts that resonated with a more casual audience as well as with racing fanatics. Our team were needed on site for the entire race weekend, and we made use of this advantageous position by ensuring that during an event we flooded the social media platforms with content.
We too were responsible for the design and print needs that the race team required. Brochures, table centres, banners, table cloths, reception desk stands, garage boarding and vehicle graphics were all designed by Fortis to ensure our client were able to maximise their exposure at busy race tracks where team colours and branding are vitally important.
Over the years we have managed to establish the Trade Price Cars Racing brand as a household name within the sport all through the power of social media and design. We attacked the challenge with consistency and our ideas proved unique and we seemed to set the bar for all teams within the British Touring Car Paddock when it comes to marketing presence.
Our four years within the sport has allowed us to work with drivers and high profile sponsors like HP, Oodle Car Finance, Ginsters, Bristol Street Motors, Vans Direct, GKR Scaffolding and many others. Year after year we were also responsible for the rebranding as team colours were altered and of course we had to incorporate new drivers and sponsors.
Our approach within the sport has been recognised and resulted in additional work carried out through recommendation.
